- We got our "stimulus" check on Friday. This is what we did. Food storage. Zach built the shelves on Saturday, and we went to Walmart and Costco on Monday. It doesn't look like very much, but this is actually almost 3 months of food for us...sad, I know! So, we did our part in "stimulating the economy" and Zach was sore the next day.
- Also on Saturday, Sami tried greenbeans. I was expecting the same reaction I got from the peas (although, I can't really blame her about the peas), but she loved the greenbeans. So far, she is a very good eater. I worry that she keeps eating when she's not hungry anymore because she likes the food so much...just like her Dad! ;) Actually, I take that as a compliment from Zach. And, bonus, Sami is 6 months old now. Time flies.
- Speaking of bonuses, the season finale of The Office is tomorrow and it will be AWESOME!
- And Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be in theaters next Friday...it may be time for us to get a babysitter...
- Question: I am hosting the book club in June and that means I need to pick a book to read. I was thinking about Persuasion, but I just can't decide. Any ideas?
- And finally, Question: What type of bear is best?

Your shelves and storage look awesome! Sami just gets cuter and cuter! Can't wait to have you all here. I think all the Jane Austen books are great. Not sure I understand about the bear. Teddy Bear? Pooh Bear? Of course we wouldn't be from Ashland if we didn't say Grizzly Bear!
the question about the bear is just a joke. it is a line from an episode of The Office. :)
Duh, the Grizzlies. What's wrong, Zach's puny arms can't handle particle board?
Wow, it's so pretty! And organized! I love organizing food (strange I know). I bought those shelf-reliance things (the rotating can thingy) but there aren't enough slots to hold all my cans. When we get a house I'll just have Zach come over and install some shelves:) Just kidding, it looks like a LOT of work! But THANKS for the idea!!!! And great job on the food storage, wow. You should be very proud of yourselves, what a great way to spend your stimulus. Now you can live without fear:)
That is a great place to store your food! Ours is in the garage...maybe I can show Steve how much fun it would be to build shelves in our closet too!
Also, I have the results from a highly scientific poll we did on our blog a few months ago--Fozzy Bear is the best kind of bear. (I still insist Bear Grylls is the best bear, but my vote didn't count.)
I like the video, Tim got inspired by it. I hope we can start our own food storage sometime soon too.
