Proceed with Caution

You're a trooper if you read this entire post.

A disappointing loss...BYU lost to TCU last night. This is disappointing because I have seen how great they can be...Hopefully this helps the Cougars move on and up (although the hopes of being a BCS buster are lost), instead of the other way! Come on BYU, I know you can do it!

This is a list of things I am sick and tired of:
-"Big Oil" (they are NOT evil, they are a business, trying to make money like every other business)
-"Deregulation" (what, let the free market be free?)
-Barak Obama (there is no way in you-know-where that I will EVER vote for this man)
-John McCain (I admire his service in the US Military, but I can't really get behind this guy)
-"Decision 08" (makes it sound like it's the end of the world or something...so dramatic)
-Main street (this just bugs me. in what city? of what state? what main street are you talking about?)
-Tax the wealthy (since when did we start punishing success?)
-Basically, ALL THINGS ELECTION! How I wish that it was over and done with already!
-Same-sex marriage. It really gets to me when I hear/read opinions from people who claim they are active members of the LDS Church that same-sex marriage isn't a sin/doesn't hurt society/should be allowed because two people who love each other should have all the benefits of marriage...etc. How can someone honestly say they are active in the church when they are blatantly throwing out the counsel/commandments from the Prophet, therefore, the Lord.
-People being attacked for their opinion. Everybody has a right to their own opinion, that's what's so wonderful about NOT living under Hitler...

I'm sorry if I offend anyone. I'm sorry for getting political. I am very hesitant because it is a sensitive subject at times. I am just so sick of hearing about the election and all the political issues that inevitably come with it. Like Glenn Beck says, my head might explode...get me some duct tape... I just needed to vent (isn't that what blogs are for...) I hate contention, maybe that's why I am fed up with all this election stuff...it causes/brings out so much contention, even within families.

I love this country. I love my freedom. I love my opportunity to get to the top(so I can help people as much as I want). I love my Church. I love God. I love Zach. I love Samantha. I love my family. I love my friends.

Also, I don't want this to be a depressing/anger-causing post. So, here's an update on Samantha. She has been crawling for reals for at least a month? See, this is bad! I can't remember exactly when she transitioned from tummy-scooting to the real deal. Anyway, she climbs on everything (including the stairs-so fast) and is starting to take steps while standing against things. She loves to eat everything (except honey, nuts, shellfish, milk, and eggs b/c Dr B says no). She babbles all day long (no real words yet). She LOVES books! She is such a sweetie with a fun personality!

So, did you read this entire post? Let me know...

PS: Did you see The Office last night? It was awesome! I hope Michael tells Jan OFF. Holy cow that's a long post...

Hey, your little girl is so cute. I so agree with your post. We don't get all the election stuff over here. We pretty much just get pushed to vote. We don't have to watch commercials on certain measures or people. I have to admit it is nice, although it is hard to decide who you are going to vote for without really knowing where each person stands. We do research on the internet, but that generally turns out to be some kind of biased opinion. Well anyway, good luck until election day.

I couldn't believe that Michael went in and gave Holly a hug! AND then asked her out! Yeah!

And I love your venting posts, they crack me up! I must agree with you on the duct tape, when you're done with it, I need it!z

I thought your post was nice and very honest. Now I know why I like you so much. Must be something to do with that saying, "great minds think alike." Did you ever finish reading Liberal Fascism? It took me months, but was definitely worth it. Thanks for being such a great sister-in-law!

You call that a long post? Read the "books" that Steve writes about once a month on our blog full of all those run-on sentences and grievances. Very cute picture of Samantha by the way.
