1. Ground fresh whole wheat flour with my brand new Nutrimill Grain Mill (BTW, thanks Marla for recommending this one to us, I love it so far...though I've only used it once.)
2. Made bread-as is typical for me about every week or a little more-however, THIS time I used half my freshly milled whole wheat flour and half joe-shmo white flour.
3. Walked in house, deeply inhaled the sweet smell of freshly-baked bread...mmm.
4. Tasted Zach's slice and decided it was a success...although I will be using a recipe specifically for whole wheat bread next week.
*I also have finally figured out how to shape my bread loaves so they look semi-normal...it only a ba-zillion times

My DH loves home made bread and I love the smell in the house myself.
I made a sourdough starter last week and I am going to be digging into it myself tomorrow.
I am going to be posting the recipes as I make them with pics soon thereafter.

I'm glad you like it! I love mine, it's about a kajillion times better than mom's old one. I love being able to pull out the drawer and leave the flour in there.

Your bread looks so good.I think it is great for your family that they can have home made bread so good for all of us to have more wheat in out diet.

Tara that looks delicious, I wish I was domestic in any way. Every time I try to make bread I totally screw it up. I don't really try anymore.
